Angela Coombs Matthews

Angela Coombs Matthews completed her studies at The Institute of the Arts, Australian National University, Canberra in 1997 majoring in Photomedia, and submajoring in Painting and Printmaking.

Since then she has been working as a Professional Photographer, a Picture Framer and a Photography and Art Tutor.

In her Paintings and Prints, Angela manipulates lines, colours, textures, shapes and forms in a way which refers to and re-imagines landscape. Her work is not a realistic portrayal of a place, but rather an essence, and a response to her feelings and emotions.

Currently Angela is undertaking a figurative journey concentrating more on drawing, along with painting and printing.
